Patricia Seiler, 79, of West Des Moines, Iowa passed away on February 19, 2022.
Patty was born May 15, 1942 to John and Eleanor Fleming in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was the oldest of five siblings: Johnny, Mary, Tom, and Steve. On October 20, 1962, she married Richard G. Seiler Sr. Together, they had five children. Patty lived a full life as a wonderful spouse, mother, and homemaker where the simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She loved a quiet evening playing board games, watching movies, working in the yard, or painting ceramics. Patty was also an avid collector and fond of traveling. In addition, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish and the treasurer of the Catholic Widow and Widowers group where she enjoyed activities with the club. However, Patty adored her family and friends most of all. Everyone that she met had a special place in her heart.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Deborah Studer and her children, Nicholas (Alie) and Samantha (Gino); her sons, Richard Jr. (Theresa) and their child, Benjamin; Patrick (Kirsten) and their children, Karlie, Alec, and Kendall; Robert (Amy) and their children, Madison, Megan, and Morgan; and David (Kelly) and their children, Kailin, Logan, and Cara; as well as her two great-grandchildren, Emberlie Studer and Amelia Chesini.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary, her husband Richard Sr. and her grandson, Andrew Seiler.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday February 24th at Brooks Funeral Care (7975 University Blvd., Des Moines). Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday February 25th at Sacred Heart Church (1627 Grand Ave., West Des Moines) with a burial to follow at Jordan Cemetery (3500 Fuller Rd., West Des Moines).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kavanagh House.
