Kiara Johansen, 22, passed away on September 11, 2022. A private family service was held at Tonini's Funeral Home on October 17th.
Kiara was born to Cathryn Johansen on April 17, 2000, in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from Lincoln High School and was currently studying at DMACC. She loved spending time with her friends and pets, traveling, listen to music, reading, and skateboarding. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, wit and incredible sense of humor, and wild spirit and sensitive soul.
Kiara is preceded in death by her grandpa, Bob Johansen; great-grandparents, Thad and Claudine Walton; and godfather, Troy Thompson
Kiara is survived by her mother, Cathryn Johansen; grandmother, Rose Ann Johansen; aunts, Brenda (Pat) Caligiuri, Amanda (Garrett) Hoglo; uncle, Peter Walton; cousins, Anthony (Mackenzy), Patrick, and Dominic Caligiuri, Michael, Charlize, Vinnie, and Demry Hoglo, Amber Layton, and Bonnie Brown.
Memorial contributions for Kiara Johansen can be addressed to her family for later distribution.
