June Marie Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 24, 2022 in Carlisle, Iowa. Services will be held Friday April 29th with visitation from 9:30-10:30 and a funeral mass held immediately following at Saint Anthony Catholic Church located at 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines, Iowa. She will then be buried next to her beloved husband Thomas J. Hill at the Calvary Cemetery located at 9012 20th Ave, Norwalk, Iowa.
June was born to Glen Hugh Groves and Carrie McIntyer on March 15, 1936.
June was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. June’s faith was an exceptional gift to those around her. She proudly shared her faith with all of those near to her. June spent most of her life as a farm wife. Whether feeding baby lambs who were in desperate need of a loving mother, or taking care of her home, she lived a life that was spent taking care of those around her. You could always find June multi-tasking between the kitchen, the flower beds or the garden. June has always had a heart when it came to taking care of animals. Even protecting the wildlife out and around the farm fields. Even though she worked hard daily on the farm, she cherished the moments to look her best. She was an angel on earth that will be missed.
June is survived by four of her five children. Bartholomew L. Hill, Bernadette R. Rhodes (Dean Rhodes-deceased), Christopher Hill (Patty Hill), Elizabeth J. Bixler and along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
June was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas J. Hill Sr. and her son Thomas J. Hill Jr.
