Gertrude “Trudy” Heston, 99, passed away on September 14, 2022. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd at 10:30 at Brooks Funeral Care on University Blvd. Her urn will be buried at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, IA. Trudy was born to Wilbur and Clara (Masker) Boatwright on June 16, 1923, in Iowa. She was the oldest of seven children. Trudy graduated from North High School in 1940 and was later united in marriage to Marvin “John” Olson. They raised three children together, Patricia, John, and Dennis. She is survived by eleven grandchildren.
