Elisabeth “Bette” Aschoff Fetterman, 91 entered into eternal life on April 16th, 2024. She was born on July 21st, 1932 in Randolph Nebraska to Robert and Angeline Aschoff. She has lived in Randolph Nebraska, Sioux City Iowa, Moultrie Georgia, Marshalltown Iowa, West Des Moines Iowa and Johnston Iowa. She liked to spend her time reading, playing golf, quilting, watching her beloved Cubs, and working in her yard. She would often spend quiet time in prayer and was quite the prayer warrior for her family, friends and countless anonymous individuals. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved her entire family.
She will be greatly missed and is survived by her sons Richard (Donna) Fetterman of Ankeny IA, Gregory Fetterman of Lincoln NE, daughters Joan (Mike) McGovern of Everett, WA and Susan (Steve) Blatt of Johnston, IA, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday April 26th from 5 to 7 which will begin with a rosary service. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday April 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Avenue, West Des Moines, Iowa with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetary in West Des Moines.
