David A. Christopherson entered the presence of the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2021.
Dave was born in Grafton, ND. He was the son of Alver and Muriel (Hennum) Christopherson. Dave joined the Navy right out of school and was a Sonarman. After the Navy, he attended the College of Automation in Des Moines, which began his lengthy career as a computer operator.
Dave was married to Sandi (Heck), they had one son, Travis. He later married Gale (Hill) and added her sons Nick and Ryan Proudfit to the fleet.
When talking about his faith, his journey with the Lord began as a child. He picked up so much from watching his family. His faith in Jesus as his Savior grew during his junior high years. He was active in his church throughout life and most recently found his church home at Martensdale Community Church.
Dave studied many subjects, was a collector and organizer of things he loved, a motorcycle enthusiast, a thrift store treasure hunter, had a notable man cave full of memories, photos, and many eclectic groupings. He loved to debate any subject at any time.
Left to cherish David’s memory is his loving wife of 41 years, Gale Christopherson, sons; Nick (Amy) Christopherson of Waukee, Iowa, Travis (Josie) Christopherson of Naperville, Illinois, Ryan (Joni) Proudfit of Janesville, Wisconsin, grandchildren; Halsey, Mia, Theo, Astrid, Abby and Dom, sister; Kay (Al) Rogers.
Preceded him in death are his parents, Alver and Muriel Christopherson and two infant sisters.
