Ben George Eilders, age 97, died of heart congestion on January 16th, 2024, at home.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Vera; two children, daughter Sheila Eilders’ of La Canada, CA; son, Brian Eilders of Lake Tahoe, CA; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings.
He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a banker in Iowa for 40 years.
His cremated remains will be laid to rest at the Iowa Veteran Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, with Naval Military Honors on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3 pm.
